Second Stage Round 8: Vienna - Split 86-99

There was an upset when higher ranked AustrianBC Vienna (8-16) was defeated at home by ninth ranked Croatian Split (6-18) 99-86 on Friday. The best player for the winners was American point guard Glenn Cosey (183-1992, college: EKU) who scored 32 points and 5 assists (was perfect 8-for-8 from the free throw line). The other American import power forward Demajeo Wiggins (208-1997, college: BGSU, agency: Octagon Europe) chipped in 18 points and 6 rebounds. Four Split players scored in double figures. American-Guinean guard Souley Boum (190-1999, college: Xavier) produced 26 points and 5 assists (was perfect 10-for-10 from the free throw line !!!) and Slovenian Gregor Glas (197-2001) added 20 points and 5 rebounds respectively for the hosts. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Split maintains ninth position with 6-18 record. Vienna at the other side dropped to the sixth place with 16 games lost.
